Como PMP, puede trabajar en pr\u00e1cticamente cualquier industria, con cualquier metodolog\u00eda y en cualquier lugar. La certificaci\u00f3n PMP tambi\u00e9n puede proporcionar una ventaja significativa en lo que respecta al salario y el potencial de ingresos. Entre los encuestados que respondieron a la Encuesta de salarios realizada por el PMI, los profesionales que tienen una certificaci\u00f3n PMP obtienen un salario m\u00e1s alto (20% m\u00e1s alto en promedio) que aquellos sin esa certificaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Los empleadores tambi\u00e9n se benefician. Cuando m\u00e1s de un tercio de sus gerentes de proyecto cuentan con la certificaci\u00f3n PMP, las organizaciones completan m\u00e1s proyectos a tiempo, dentro del presupuesto y cumpliendo los objetivos originales. (Estudio Pulse of the Profession\u00ae, PMI, 2015.)<\/p>\n<p>La certificaci\u00f3n PMP significa que quien la tiene habla y comprende el lenguaje global de la gesti\u00f3n de proyectos y lo conecta con una comunidad de profesionales, organizaciones y expertos de todo el mundo.<\/p>\n<p>El PMI administra 2 certificaciones en Project Management:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Project Management Professional (PMP)<\/li>\n<li>Certified Associate en Project Management (CAPM)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/text-with-icon][text-with-icon icon_type=\u00bbfont_icon\u00bb icon=\u00bbicon-search\u00bb color=\u00bbAccent-Color\u00bb]<strong>Requisitos para la certificaci\u00f3n PMP<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Para certificarse como PMP el PMI prev\u00e9 2 categor\u00edas:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Categor\u00eda 1<\/strong>: para profesionales que tengan un t\u00edtulo universitario de carreras de 4 a\u00f1os o m\u00e1s. No hay exclusi\u00f3n de carreras. Si bien muchos creen que este tema es exclusivamente para carreras como ingenier\u00eda o sistemas, en la pr\u00e1ctica esta especialidad es aplicable a cualquier profesi\u00f3n. \u00a0Hay abogados, docentes, paisajistas, traductores y m\u00e9dicos, entre muchas otras profesiones, manejando proyectos<\/p>\n<p>Quienes cumplen con este requisito deber\u00e1n tambi\u00e9n acreditar:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>4500 horas de experiencia gerenciando proyectos<\/li>\n<li>35 horas de capacitaci\u00f3n espec\u00edfica en Project Management<\/li>\n<li>Conocimiento en la buenas pr\u00e1cticas de Project Management por lo que deber\u00e1n aprobar un examen de 200 preguntas multiple choice<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Categor\u00eda 2<\/strong>: Para quienes no puedan acreditar un t\u00edtulo universitario de una carrera de 4 a\u00f1os. Deber\u00e1n compensarlo con 7500 horas de experiencia gerenciando proyectos.[\/text-with-icon][text-with-icon icon_type=\u00bbfont_icon\u00bb icon=\u00bbicon-search\u00bb color=\u00bbAccent-Color\u00bb]<strong>Requisitos para la certificaci\u00f3n CAPM<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Se requiere 1500 horas de experiencia en Project Management o 23 horas de haber recibido capacitaci\u00f3n espec\u00edfica en Project Management.\u00a0 Quienes cumplan estos requisitos deber{an tambi\u00e9n aprobar un examen de 150 preguntas multiple choice.[\/text-with-icon][text-with-icon icon_type=\u00bbfont_icon\u00bb icon=\u00bbicon-file-text-alt\u00bb color=\u00bbAccent-Color\u00bb]<strong>Est\u00e1ndar Metodol\u00f3gico<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>El PMI ha documentado las buenas pr\u00e1cticas de gesti\u00f3n de proyectos en su publicaci\u00f3n \u201cGu\u00eda de los Fundamentos para la Direcci\u00f3n de Proyectos (<em>PMBOK<\/em>\u00ae Guide).<\/p>\n<p>En \u00e9l se establecen 10 \u00e1reas de conocimiento sobre las cuales se sugieren procesos de gesti\u00f3n, entre ellos:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Gesti\u00f3n del Alcance<\/li>\n<li>Gesti\u00f3n del Cronograma<\/li>\n<li>Gesti\u00f3n de los Costos<\/li>\n<li>Gesti\u00f3n de la Calidad<\/li>\n<li>Gesti\u00f3n de las comunicaciones<\/li>\n<li>Gesti\u00f3n de los Recursos<\/li>\n<li>Gesti\u00f3n de los Riesgos<\/li>\n<li>Gesti\u00f3n de las Adquisiciones<\/li>\n<li>Gesti\u00f3n de los Interesados<\/li>\n<li>Gesti\u00f3n de la integraci\u00f3n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Estudios realizados concluyen que la falta de mejora en estos temas coincide con un proyecto de resultados m\u00e1s pobres. Son la minor\u00eda los proyectos cumplen con objetivos originales y la intenci\u00f3n empresarial, o ser completado dentro del presupuesto. Vemos p\u00e9rdidas de m\u00e1s de un 12% debido a una deficiente gesti\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>A pesar de una econom\u00eda global que a\u00fan es incierta y la r\u00e1pida evoluci\u00f3n de las nuevas tendencias comerciales, encontramos muchos ejemplos de gerentes de proyectos, programas y portafolios que otorgan valor a sus organizaciones y les permiten mantenerse competitivos.<\/p>\n<p>El cambio disruptivo es frecuente. La evoluci\u00f3n tecnol\u00f3gica\u00a0 y la digitalizaci\u00f3n, incluida la Internet de las cosas y los medios sociales, ha creado un mundo hiperconectado, sin fronteras, con nuevas industrias y oportunidades para los administradores de proyectos y programas, por lo que el n\u00famero y la complejidad de los proyectos van en aumento, un hecho reconocido por los l\u00edderes ejecutivos.<\/p>\n<p>Seg\u00fan un estudio realizado por el PMI en el a\u00f1o 2017 denominado \u201cEl Pulso de la Profesi\u00f3n\u201d, las organizaciones las podemos estructurar en:<\/p>\n<p>LAS MEJORES ORGANIZACIONES: Organizaciones en las que se concluye 80% o m\u00e1s de los proyectos a tiempo y dentro del presupuesto, se cumplen los objetivos e intenci\u00f3n de negocio iniciales y que tienen un alto nivel de madurez en la materializaci\u00f3n de beneficios. ORGANIZACIONES CON DESEMPE\u00d1O DEFICIENTE: Organizaciones en las que se concluye 60% o menos de los proyectos a tiempo y dentro del presupuesto, se cumplen los objetivos e intenci\u00f3n de negocio iniciales y que tienen un bajo nivel de madurez en la materializaci\u00f3n de beneficios.<\/p>\n<p>Como era de esperar, las mejores organizaciones tienen tasas de \u00e9xito m\u00e1s altas en sus proyectos (92% frente a 33% de las organizaciones con desempe\u00f1o deficiente) y disfrutan de resultados de negocio m\u00e1s exitosos: desperdician mucho menos dinero debido al deficiente desempe\u00f1o en los proyectos.
