This course is intended for students who wish to learn and analyze the concepts and theories related to derivative assets. The objective of this course is to develop some of the techniques necessary to value derivative contracts.

This course provides a theoretical and empirical view of financial risks. For this purpose, the sources of risk are identified, their measurement and how to manage them will be made. We will focus on market, credit and operational risks. In addition, the tools and methods for identifying risk factors and their coverage.

The Capital Market draws on financial information to estimate the value of assets. In an effort to anticipate market variations, agents project the financial information of companies. There will be a strong emphasis on: (1) The use of public financial information; (2) FS. from IPSA companies; (3) Commentary on company news published in the financial press.

In this course the core elements of investment finance theory are taught. Initially, portfolio theory is reviewed, then asset analysis is studied, and then finished with active portfolio management, where greater emphasis will be placed on the tools to be studied. It begins with an introduction to the capital market and the importance of the financial information contained in the FS (Financial Statements) of corporations. The core of the course focuses on financial analysis of FS, information that will be used to make investment decisions and financial planning.
