The objective of the Master’s Degree in Applied English Linguistics with a specialization in TESOL is to increase the participants’ linguistic knowledge of the English language, as well as to train them in the use of the methods, strategies, and techniques inherent in this process.
Our master’s degree is accredited by the CTF University of Panama (CTF-105-2014) and has among its professors outstanding local and international professionals of the discipline.
In addition to the excellent level of the professors, the students will learn not only with and from the professors but also from their classmates, taking advantage of an interactive methodology that motivates the students to put what they have learned into practice class by class.
The duration of the Master in Applied English Linguistics with a specialization in TESOL is approximately 1 year and has a total of 10 courses. Within these 10 courses, the most important module is the Professional Practice, where all the knowledge and skills acquired throughout this master’s degree are put into practice. This internship can be done either at your current workplace or in our renowned English courses.
This master’s degree is aimed at professionals interested in an advanced study program that prepares them for teaching English as a second or foreign language.
The master’s degree is developed in one of two different CTDA (Technical Commission for Academic Development)-approved schedules. Some of the classes within the master’s program are intensive and others are regular.
INTENSIVE: Weekends:

REGULAR: Saturdays: 4 saturdays from 9:00 a.m to 5:00 p.m (face to face classes)
For any of these schedules, the week before the start of the classes is for independent preparatory work and is developed through our online Learning Management platform Schoology.com; likewise, the last week of classes is developed on this same platform and is the week for assignments and/or final exams.
The University reserves the right to offer the courses according to any of the three approved schedules and to establish the dates for the development of the classes according to the availability of the professors, always taking into account the best interests of the participants.
