Prof. Olavarrieta is a Doctor in Marketing and Strategy from the University of Georgia, U.S.. Prof. Olavarrieta teaches MBA classes and Master’s in Marketing offered by Quality Leadership University (QLU) in an academic agreement with the University of Chile. Currently, he also serves as the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Chile. An academic of the Undergraduate and Post-Graduate schools of the Faculty of Economics and Business of the University of Chile, he has ample experience in the areas of academia and instruction. Prof. Olavarrieta is also president of the Association of Faculties of Administration and Economics of Chile (ASFAE) and participates as a member of the management committee of the Business Association for Latin American Studies (BALAS) and coordinator of the Academic Committee of the Latin American Consortium of Administration Schools (CLADEA). His articles have been publicized in leading international journals such as, Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Strategic Marketing, International Marketing Review, International Journal of Physical Distribution and Logistics Management, among others. Finally, Prof. Olavarrieta has also been a consultant in national and international businesses and government agencies in areas of Marketing and Strategy.
