On behalf of Quality Leadership University (QLU) and the Universidad de Chile, we strongly congratulate the MBA students –René Ayala, Dayra Quintero, Luis Lasso and María Matilde Sergent– who qualified for the prestigious John Molson International Case Competition. The qualification round was held on Thursday, October 15 and a total of twenty four (24) MBA students(both in Chile and Panama) participated. The students met before the challenge to resolve a case study in less than two hours, and then presented their analysis before the judges.
By unanimous decision, the judges determine that René, Dayra, Luis y María Matilde excelled compared to the rest of the teams. In company of Prof. Ismael Oliva (Director of the Postgraduate School of the University of Chile), the winners will travel to Montreal, Canada in January of 2016 and will proudly represent QLU and the University of Chile. In addition to the international experience, the winning team will receive the recognition of one of the best international schools of business and a significant monetary compensation.
Congratulations Students, we wish you the best success!

Last Wednesday, October 7th, we celebrated with the graduate community of MBA and Master’s of Marketing programs that we offer in Panama, a product of the academic agreement between the University of Chile and Quality Leadership University (QLU). The event was held in the Penthouse of Hotel Riu, located in the heart of Panama City’s banking center. The guests enjoyed a varied Panamanian menu accompanied with exquisite Chilean wine.
Students, professors, and authorities from both universities and collaborators from both QLU and the University of Chile participated in the event. With laughter, anecdotes and success stories we reaffirmed the strong ties that unite us as a university community and agents of change in Panama and the region.
Note that we have the presence of Prof. Ismael Oliva, Director of the Postgraduate School of the FEN, which welcomed the guests and reiterated the importance of the ties between Chile and Panama.
